Hey guys,
great to hear that you have bonded so quickly with the kids. Your experiences with schedule and the 'looks of the locals' reminded me of ours when we picked up KaiLi. The orphanage told us all kinds of things about when she needed to eat, sleep, etc. We tried it for a day and then found that perhaps much of that schedule was driven not by KaiLi's needs, but by culture or something else. Also, i remember taking KaiLi to the zoo in Changsha and getting several disapproving looks from older women when they saw us with her. We felt sad that they couldn't share our joy, and i suppose a bit sobered by the sad reality that something like this has to happen at all.
Dave Allen is with us with his two girls right now. They are amazed at your pictures!
We are so thrilled for you and will pray for this next phase of adjustment!

Esther & Jeff,

I just learned about this life-changing experience for you AND your children - I am so proud of you! What an act of selflessness. May God continue to bless you as you are blessing others.

My best,
